Rich, elegant aromas of blueberries, black ripe raspberries, refined with a delicate hint of wood tones characterize the bouquet. On the palate, this Spanish red wine is full-bodied, soft, velvety and superbly balanced with elegant ripe tannins, an inviting richness and a soft fruitiness and nicely integrated wood notes. The finish is soft and persistent. Vinification of Bodegas Castaño Hécula Hand-harvested grapes from the Bodegas Castaño winery are destemmed, crushed, macerated and the resulting must is fermented in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. This fermented wine is finally aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels.
