Château Malartic-Lagraviere Pessac-Léognan AOC Rouge Grand Cru Classé 0,75 ℓ

Initially known as Domaine de Lagraviere, Château Malartic-Lagravière assumed its current name in the mid-19th century, when it became the property of the Malartic family. Since 1997 it has been managed by the Bonnie family, who have invested heavily in recent decades both in the acquisition of new vineyards and in the improvement of the cellar and all its equipment. The vinification is parcel and takes place in steel vats of different sizes, while the malolactic fermentation takes place in wooden barrels. The wine is aged in 50% -70% new French oak barrels for about 12 months. Of an intense purple color in the glass, on the nose the wine shows a bouquet of aromas of ripe fruits such as cherries and black currants, with hints of tobacco and balsamic notes. In the mouth it is full-bodied, with smooth tannins and a long, satisfying aromatic finish. Ideal in combination with roasted and baked meats, such as pheasant and duck, but also with larded roast beef with red onions.
