Banyuls Vin Doux Naturel - Gérard Bertrand

The Banyuls Vin Doux Naturel is a deep ruby to purple red with dark violet highlights. The nose reveals seductive aromas of sweetly ripened red and black fruits such as cherries, blackberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by a hint of sweet caramel spice. On the palate it is juicy, sweet, round and full-bodied, very well balanced with aromas of sweetly ripened, also preserved fruits as well as cherry and wild berry jam, which are underlined by delicate wood notes. The finish is long and fruity with notes of caramel, chocolate and fine spice.
