Merlot Sicilia DOC - Cantine Settesoli

Merlot Sicilia DOC - Cantine SettesoliMerlot Sicilia DOC - Cantine SettesoliThe Merlot Sicilia from the Sicily wine region presents itself in the glass in a bright ruby red. The nose reveals a variety of shadow cherries, plums, black cherries, and plums in this Cantine Settesoli red wine. On the palate, the Merlot Sicilia by Cantine Settesoli begins wonderfully aromatic, fruity, and balanced. The texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety. Thanks to its distinctive fruit acidity, the Merlot Sicilia feels delightfully fresh and lively on the palate. The youthful wine from the Sicily wine region impresses with a notable length on the finish. Once again, hints of plum and damson are apparent. Vinification of Cantine Settesoli Merlot Sicilia This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Merlot. Only the best and fully ripe grapes are harvested for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Cantine Settesoli. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Merlot Sicilia are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery, where they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Merlot Sicilia is allowed to mature for 3 months on the fine lees to further harmonize. Food pairing recommendation for Cantine Settesoli Merlot Sicilia with ossobuco, lemon-chili chicken with bulgur, or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
