Bio appears exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Murcia winegrowing region ultimately impresses with a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay- and marl-dominated soils. Vinification of Filarmonia D.O. Bio from La Purísima The basis for the powerful Filarmonia D.O. Bio from Spain is grapes from the Merlot, Monastrell, and Syrah varieties. In Murcia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and marl soils. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There, they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
