This red wine is a wonderful blend of Tinta Roriz (30%), Caladoc (25%), Castelão (25%), Alicante Bouschet (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). Beautiful berry fruit aromas, notes of ripe red fruits, fruit compote with honey fill the nose. The very soft, structured, full-bodied and juicy palate shines with nice balance and medium body. Vinification of the Medium Sweet Portada The mechanically harvested grapes are first destemmed, pressed and the resulting must undergoes a cold maceration followed by the addition of dry yeast. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation and finally malolactic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks, where this Portuguese red wine rounds off for a while before being bottled.
