CRU Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG - Az.Agr. Buglioni SA
In the summer of 1993, the Buglioni family, originally a long-established family of restaurateurs, fulfilled a long-held dream and acquired an old farmhouse along with five hectares of vineyards and olive groves. Today, the estate has likely grown many times over, but all of the Buglionis' vineyards are located in the original Valpolicella Classico region, the hilly area east of Lake Garda, encompassing the best sites on the Sant'Ambrogio plateau and in the San Pietro valley. The Amarone comes from a single vineyard in San Pietro in Cariano, hence the designation Cru. After harvesting in the second half of September, the grapes are dried until January, after which the wine is fermented. Further aging takes place for approximately 36 months in 25- and 50-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels, followed by 24 months of bottle maturation. Pairs well with classic pot roasts of venison and beef, duck – also in Asian styles. Color: dark ruby red. Aroma: ripe plums, blueberries, hints of spices and tobacco. Taste: dark cherries, juicy, impressive concentration, long finish.| Price |
