Paulinshofberg Riesling GG - Fritz Haag
The Kestener Paulinshofberg lies upstream as an extension of the neighboring Brauneberg site. The neighboring site of the Juffer, which faces south-southeast, is named after the monastery courtyard of the church of St. Paulin, which cultivated the land as early as the Middle Ages. After this historic site was forgotten a few decades ago, it was reclassified as a VDP.GROSSE LAGE in 2019. Here you will find a soil with large proportions of weathered blue and gray Devonian slate and, in contrast to the neighboring Juffer site, clayey slate. The result is a highly elegant wine with an intense, bright fruitiness, hints of dark berries and a long, puristic minerality. Flint brings minerality to the nose, fine stone fruit aromas, refreshing citrus notes and a hint of dark berries provide fruitiness. On the palate, ripe fruit, floral and herbal aromas paired with immense, spicy, earthy minerality. Long finish with delicate saltiness, fresh herbs and elegance.| Price |
