Beni di Batasiolo Barolo DOCG Brunate 0,75 ℓ, In Holzkiste
What kind of wine is it?Barolo Brunate di Batasiolo is a red wine produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the renowned Brunate cru in La Morra. It stands out for its solid structure and aromatic complexity that express the character of the terroir. Vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel and aged in Slavonian oak barrels, it offers a full profile with well-integrated tannins and a long finish.Where does it come from? This Barolo is born in the heart of the Langhe, in the Brunate subzone of La Morra, Piedmont. These conditions favor balanced ripening of Nebbiolo and impart recognizable depth, elegance, and olfactory complexity. How is it produced? The grapes are handpicked in the first half of October, selecting only the best clusters. After destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for 10–12 days and regular pump-overs to extract color and tannins. Aging occurs in Slavonian oak barrels and then in steel tanks before resting in the bottle, allowing the wine to reach balance and longevity.Tasting notesIn the glass, it shows a deep garnet red with orange hues. The bouquet offers persistent aromas of dried fruit, stewed plums, rose, violet, spices, and subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with elegant tannins, good freshness, and a robust structure. The velvety texture leads to a long persistence, with lingering notes of ripe fruit, sweet spices, and earthy nuances.Food pairingsThe structure and complexity of this Barolo make it ideal with roasted red meats, game such as wild boar and braised meats, as well as aged cheeses like toma piemontese and Castelmagno. It pairs beautifully with dishes from the Langhe, including tajarin with meat sauce and finanziera. Its smoothness and lasting tannins also enhance hand-cut Fassona steak and bring out notes of cooked fruit and spices. When to serveBarolo Brunate di Batasiolo can benefit from a period of bottle aging. The ideal serving temperature is 18–20°C in large tulip glasses, to appreciate the evolved aromas and rich flavors, offering a complete experience.| Price |
