Boekenhoutskloof Franschhoek Valley WO Cabernet Sauvignon 0,75 ℓ
Boekenhoutskloof's Cabernet Sauvignon Franschhoek is produced exclusively from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from one of the wine-growing regions of the South African Coastal region, Franschhoek. The name of the company derives from a local variety of beech, called beech of the Cape , whose wood has been used for centuries for the production of quality furniture. After the harvest and the manual selection of the grapes, the grapes undergo a cold maceration in concrete vats, and then ferment at a controlled temperature (27-30 °) with frequent pumping over. The subsequent malolactic fermentation takes place in 225 l barriques, after which the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques. In the glass the glass appears of an intense ruby red. On the nose, complex hints of red and dark fruit strike first and foremost, opening on citrus and spicy notes. The sip is concentrated, with silky tannins and well balanced by acidity and ends with a spicy and clean finish. Ideal in combination with important meat dishes, roasted and stewed game.| Price |
