Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Campo al Mare Baia al Vento Bolgheri Superiore DOC 0,75 ℓ

Bolgheri Superiore Baia al Vento by Folonari was born in the Campo al Mare estates, located in the Livorno municipality of Castagneto Carducci, near the sea. This area has gained international fame for the affirmation of the Bolgheri DOC denomination. This wine is mainly produced with Merlot grapes. After a maceration of approximately 30 days at 28°, at the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel containers. Subsequently the wine is placed in French oak tonneaux, half new and half 1 year old, where it remains for approximately 16-18 months. Once bottled, the wine ages for another 12 months. It is a wine with an intense color, with a deep texture and elegant bluish reflections. On the nose it presents interesting notes of Mediterranean scrub, enriched by hints of ripe red fruit. In the mouth it is powerful and warm, with good tannins, smooth and elegant. Overall it is a wine with great structure. Perfect in combination with game and stews, it is ideal to accompany mature cheeses.
