Milsetentayseis Milsetentayseis Ribera del Duero DO Tinto 0,75 ℓ
What kind of wine is itTinto Milsetentayseis is a red wine produced in Spain that embodies the essence of the Ribera del Duero denomination. This wine was created with the express intention of expressing the nuances of the different plots and offers an elegant, delicate, and vibrant profile. The production process involves fermentation and ageing in a range of containers, including stainless steel, concrete, wood, and clay amphorae. Thanks to its strong inclination for long ageing, it continues to rest in French oak barrels and bottle, thus consolidating a complex and fascinating structure.Where it comes fromThe grapes come from Fuentenebro, a specific subzone within Ribera del Duero, nestled in a Spanish landscape with marked mineral richness. Here, viticulture faces an extreme climate and benefits from notable biodiversity, elements that create tension and definition in the wine. Careful management of the individual plots enhances differences in soil and exposure, a practice that favours the expression of a strong territorial identity, resulting in great stylistic complexity. How it's madeHarvesting is strictly done by hand and includes a double selection in the winery, first of bunches then of individual berries. Vinification is carried out separately for each plot using various formats, including small microvinifiers, wooden vats, concrete tanks, stainless steel, and clay amphorae. The wine then matures for eighteen months in French oak barrels and foudres and concrete containers, followed by a further bottle ageing for twelve months before release.Tasting notesIn the glass, the wine presents good chromatic intensity reflecting the long ageing and solid structure. On the nose, it develops a marked aromatic complexity closely tied to its territorial origin, with distinct mineral notes reminiscent of quartz, feldspar and mica. On the palate, it reveals an elegant and vibrant structure, characterized by a taut and delicate progression which leads to a persistent finish and confirms a structured profile, able to evolve beautifully over time.PairingsThe natural structure of this red makes it an ideal choice to accompany grilled red meats, where the persistence of the sip balances the succulence of the dish. It is especially suited to support important cuts and typical Spanish dishes such as grilled chuletón, enhancing their intensity and lingering flavours. It is also excellent with a mixed meat barbecue, as it offers an elegant presence and keeps pace with the bold flavours of the food. When to serve itThe versatility and elegance of this Ribera del Duero make it the perfect glass to share during lunches or dinners centred around meat dishes. Thanks to its clear aptitude for long ageing, it is suitable for immediate enjoyment, allowing you to appreciate its tension and precision, or for careful cellar ageing. A long rest will give the wine time to develop further complexity and persistence, bringing out the best of the terroir from which it comes.| Price |
