Cabernet Blanc Lanz

Cabernet Blanc LanzThe Cabernet Blanc grape variety also belongs to the group of fungus-resistant grape varieties (PIWI), it is one of the youngest grape varieties to have made it into professional cultivation. It was bred in 1991 by Valentin Blattner and its character is reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. Forget the somewhat unfortunate and confusing naming scheme! Very fine bouquet of ripe cassis, passion fruit and hawthorn. Pithy on the palate, white currants and lemons. Nice dense, dry, smooth finish.
