Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon - Wynns Coonawarra Estate
Wynn's Connawarra Estate was founded in 1891 by Scottish immigrant John Riddoch. Riddoch had leased his property in plots to fruit and wine growers and planted 52 hectares of his own vines in the Terra Rossa soil. This deep clay and limestone soil is the ideal reason for exquisite dry red wines, thought David and Samuel Wynn, who bought the winery in 1951. They were way ahead of their time, because in Australia people preferred to drink port-like fortified wines. But success proved them right, to this day.| Price |
