Vinification for the Chianti Classico DOCG from Tenuta di Vignole This cuvée is made from the Sangiovese and Merlot grape varieties. The grapes were fermented separately in concrete. The Sangiovese then matured for 12 months in oak barrels and the Merlot in small French barrels. After blending, the wine matured for a further 12 months in the bottle.
