Grauburgunder - Martin Waßmer

A cool nose with plenty of spicy apple with peel (Cox's Orange Pippin), blossoming herbs, a slight chalky note, and ripe papaya. Clear and delicately juicy, lively and fresh, a firm body with strength, backbone, and even a touch of power, very stimulating fruit of spicy stone fruit, tart herbs, and a hint of minerality, initially very dry, then with increasing subtle extract sweetness and drinkability, slightly astringent, deep and complex, with plenty of herbs, apple, and power in the finish, accompanied by a delicate hint of extract sweetness.
