Similar to the 2018 Riserva, Giovanni has further refined the use of oak. Not necessarily less oak, but integrated with a touch more elegance than in the past. On the nose, the INVERSUS is quite closed, with nuances of coconut, elder leaf, sweet cherries, and dark tobacco. A very pleasant mouthfeel. Initially juicy, then bursting with fruit: raspberries and blueberries in succession. The mid-palate is smooth with lactic notes. The finish is considerably more serious: salty, quite drying, not only due to the fine-grained tannins but also the pronounced minerality.
