Feudi Bizantini Passofino Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 0,75 ℓ

Feudi Bizantini Passofino Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 0,75 ℓA milestone of modern Abruzzo winemaking, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is today one of the most valuable and well-known red grapes in the world: its origin is uncertain but very ancient, as evidenced by the writings of the Greek historian Polybius (206 BC - 124 BC), who praised its therapeutic virtues on the wounded and the ability to invigorate men, and the Roman poet Publio Ovidio Nasone (43 BC-17 or 18 AD) who often quoted him in his stories. Feudi Bizantini Passofino is produced in the area of Crecchio, Lanciano; after destemming, there is maceration in stainless steel vats for 15-20 days and the soft pressing of the grapes. Finally, it ages for 3 months in stainless steel. Of a splendid ruby red color in the glass, with reflections that fade towards garnet, it opens to the nose with an intense and persistent perfume, with notes reminiscent of cherry and ripe fruit and floral background notes. On the palate it is full-bodied, tannic and balanced. To be combined with tasty and savory first courses, as well as with roasts and aged cheeses. Try it with dark chocolate.
