Montalbera Grignè Grignolino d'Asti DOC 0,75 ℓ

Montalbera Grignè Grignolino d'Asti DOC 0,75 ℓThe Grignolino d'Asti Grignè di Montalbera is a typical expression of traditional Piedmontese enology, coming from the hills of Castagnole Monferrato. Historically it was the favorite wine of King Umberto I of Savoy, a must at his table. It is produced from Grignolino grapes, a variety particularly rich in grape seeds, called grignole in the local dialect. The vinification takes place traditional in red, with partial elimination of the abundant grape seeds. The wine ages in steel and for another 2 months in the bottle. At sight it is distinguished by a ruby red color of faint intensity that tends to orange after a year in the bottle. The aroma is ample and delicate, with notes of morello cherry and musk combined with hints of oriental spices. In the mouth it is dry and harmonious, pleasantly warm, with a strong character rounded off by a refined, slightly bitter finish. Excellent in the company of any appetizer or light dish, it can be served fresh in combination with salted fish.
