The Meursault Sous la Velle is a dry white wine produced by Marthe Henry in the Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. Made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Sous la Velle climat, located in the lower part of the village of Meursault on clay-limestone soils, this wine reflects the producer's commitment to enhancing the terroir through sustainable farming practices and a low-intervention approach.The winemaking process involves a spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by at least 18 months of aging in used oak barrels, without fining or invasive filtering, in order to preserve the wine's purity and expressiveness.On the nose, notes of citrus, white flowers, and hazelnut can be perceived, while on the palate, the wine offers lively freshness, marked minerality, and balanced structure, with a long and elegant finish.Ideal when paired with fish dishes or soft cheeses.
