Alpha Special Cuvee Chardonnay - Montes

Zapallar is located on the coast of Aconcagua, less than 170 km northwest of the Chilean capital Santiago.Swimmers enjoy the sunset here. The Chardonnay uses the maritime climate to ripen perfectly,with dense, lively aromas that Montes captures for us with great attention to detail: The grapes are harvested in the cool morning hours, either pressed whole immediately or destemmed or cold mashed beforehand,almost 40 percent of the must is fermented directly in the barrel, the rest in the tank, then half of the wines are matured for twelve monthsin French barriques, remarried to the Special Cuvée and bottled. Phew!But the Chardonnay rewards every effort with a perfect balance of ripe exotic fruit, nutty notes andelegant barrique spice, with juicy freshness and a super-long finish.
