The Montefalco Sagrantino by Villa Filicaja originates from the extraordinary region of Montefalco, in the heart of Umbria.It is produced exclusively with Sagrantino grapes, harvested entirely by hand. Maturation occurs in barriques for 12 months. Subsequently, after a short passage in stainless steel tanks, the wine is refined for a further 26 months in the bottle.This Montefalco Sagrantino is characterized by a ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with an intense bouquet, rich with red fruit aromas, enriched by pleasant spicy notes and delicate hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is pleasantly powerful and decisive, with a strong tannic concentration.Perfect for accompanying roasts and game, it is ideal paired with first courses and aged cheeses.
