The Finca San Martín is a red wine produced by Torre de Oña, made exclusively with Tempranillo grapes from vineyards located on the slopes of the Sierra de Cantabria, in Rioja Alavesa. It best expresses the typicality of the area, offering a balance between freshness, fruit, and finesse, thanks to the ideal conditions of the rich limestone soils with good drainage.The harvest is carried out manually in small boxes, with the selection of bunches directly in the vineyard. After natural alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 16 months in American oak barrels (60% new) and second-use French barrels, with three traditional manual decantations by candlelight to preserve the purity of its aromatic profile before bottling.In appearance, it shows a vivid cherry red color, with medium-high intensity and intense ruby reflections. On the nose, it opens with high aromatic intensity dominated by dark fruits such as blackberries, raspberries, and cranberries, complemented by spicy notes of cloves, vanilla, roasted coffee, caramel, and sweet licorice. On the palate, it is balanced, fine, and pleasant, with soft tannins and a fruity and expressive finish.It pairs perfectly with cured meats, starters, main courses, and various types of meat.
