Kaltern Kellerei Saltner Südtirol - Alto Adige Pinot Nero Riserva DOC 0,75 ℓ

The Pinot Nero Riserva Saltner by Kaltern Kaldaro comes from vineyards with excellent exposure to the sun and airy, characterized by a very cold climate during the ripening of the grapes very useful to preserve them. This wine is part of the Selection line of the South Tyrolean company. Made entirely with Pinot Noir grapes, it is the result of fermentation in oak vats with a 2-week maceration at a temperature of 25 °C. After malolactic fermentation, it is left to rise for 12 months in French oak barrels and in tonneaux. Finally, it undergoes a light filtration before being bottled. In the glass it shows a ruby red colour. The nose offers very fine aromas of blackberry, raspberry and cherry. In the mouth, very soft tannins and a very pleasant cherry flavour dominate the scene. Interesting the combination with highly seasoned cheeses, finds its maximum expression if combined with game or red meat not too rare.
