The Morellino di Scansano Solatro di Castelli del Grevepesa was born in Maremma and is produced by this social winery, founded in 1965, which today brings together over 120 member companies. It consists of 100% Sangiovese grapes, which are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks, with a 10-day maceration on the skins. The wine ages for 4 months on the fine lees in the same containers. Ruby red in colour, the nose has aromas of cherry and strawberry. The sip is dry and rich in sweet tannins, with a discreet persistence. Ideal with grilled red meats and sausages and aged cheeses.
