Kaltern Kellerei Quintessenz Cabernet Sauvignon Südtirol - Alto Adige Riserva DOC 0,75 ℓ

This Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva from Kaltern is part of the Quintessenz selection, a collection of fine wines that are the result of cultivation in vineyards with optimal exposure. The harvest period fully covers the months of September and October, after which fermentation takes place in contact with the skins in oak barrels for 4 weeks. Once the malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine ages for 18 months in oak barrels, half new and half second passage. It has an intense ruby red color. On the nose it offers an elegant spicy bouquet, composed of notes of cinnamon, chocolate and licorice, accompanied by light hints of berries. In the mouth it expresses itself in all its sweetness and roundness, with a finish characterized by tobacco aromas and pleasant returns of licorice. Perfect in combination with red meats and game dishes, it goes well with aged cheeses.
