Vinification of the Anthonij Rupert Wyne Blend The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Blend cuvée from Anthonij Rupert Wyne are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes. A very strong influence on the development of the harvested fruit is also the fact that the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate. This is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high alcohol content in the wine. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled. The aging in wooden casks is followed by a substantial period of bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.
