Lagarona Tinto Toro D.O. Piedra

The top wine from Piedra consists of about two-thirds Tempranillo and one-third Garnacha. The only old vines with low yields ensure particularly aromatic grapes. The assemblage is aged for at least 16 months in French oak and again more than 2 years in the bottle. On the nose very impressive aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and plums. Also balsamic and spicy aromas. In the mouth, surprisingly fresh, balanced and silky at the same time, despite the depth and power. The very polished tannins ensure an all-round successful overall impression. Toro at its best!
