Many of the vineyards are located on slopes and steep rock terraces. Here microclimate spaces, favored by river courses and valleys protected to the north, and optimal soils play together so that a variety of different varieties and qualities can grow. At the Lower Austrian Wine Awards 2022, the largest Austrian wine competition, the Krems winemakers were showered with awards. A fabulous 15 wines were awarded gold.
