Marani Bianco Veronese IGT - Sartori di Verona

Marani Bianco Veronese IGT - Sartori di VeronaMarani Bianco Veronese IGT - Sartori di VeronaIn the glass, Marani Bianco Veronese IGT - Sartori di Verona presents a radiant, platinum-yellow robe with subtle reflections of pale straw yellow. This first impression alone awakens the desire for the first sip. On the nose, a dense aromatic tapestry rises, combining ripe apple with juicy gooseberry. Beneath lie fine notes of honey and caramel, enlivened by roasted almond and a hint of white blossoms. Blackcurrant and a touch of blueberry add an exciting accent, making the pure fruit of the Garganega grape appear even more pronounced. Delicate citrus notes recall candied lemon peel, accompanied by a hint of fresh herbs. In the background shimmers a clear, chalky minerality that is directly reminiscent of the soils around Verona. On the palate, Marani Bianco Veronese IGT - Sartori di Verona is creamy and dense yet fresh and animating. The pronounced fruit acidity carries the wine energetically across the tongue and lends it a firm core. Ripe yellow apple, pear and mirabelle take center stage, followed by gooseberry and a hint of exotic fruit reminiscent of subtly matured pineapple. Maturation in large oak casks brings warm nuances of vanilla, fine toast and gentle caramel spice into play. These aromas remain elegant at all times and never overpower the fruit. The tannin structure is very fine and barely perceptible, more like a delicate frame supporting the creamy texture. The body appears medium to full, with silky flow and clear definition. In the long finish, the wine is persistent and powerful. The limestone-driven minerality accompanies the aftertaste and brings a fine, salty echo with it. A trace of honey, roasted almond and ripe citrus fruit lingers on the palate for minutes. This style unites classic Old World elegance with modern precision and makes every sip highly enjoyable. The Garganega grape shows its full potential in Veneto. Here it delivers ripe fruit, floral notes and lively acidity, which combine ideally with maturation in stainless steel tanks and large oak casks. The result is a white wine that is highly attractive both for seasoned connoisseurs and for newcomers. The strengths of this Veneto classic are particularly evident in the following points: Radiant, platinum-yellow color with great brilliance in the glass Complex nose with ripe apple, gooseberry, honey, caramel and almond Creamy texture on the palate, carried by lively fruit acidity Mineral finish, shaped by limestone-rich soils Fine spicy oak notes from maturation in large oak casks Those who wish to discover the character of this white wine at their leisure will do best to follow this little enjoyment route: Pour the wine into a white wine glass at around twelve degrees Celsius Give the wine a moment to breathe in the glass and enjoy the first aromas Take a small sip and perceive the creamy texture Pay attention to the balance of fruit, acidity and oak Consciously follow the long, mineral finish Production of Marani Bianco Veronese IGT by Sartori di Verona The grapes for Marani Bianco Veronese IGT - Sartori di Verona come from Veneto, around Verona, a region of gentle hills, clear air and strongly calcareous soils. The climate features warm days and cooler nights, which give Garganega intense aromas and vibrant acidity. Limestone provides structure and a distinctive, almost salty minerality in the finished wine. Garganega takes center stage here as a pure varietal. This grape variety brings ripe yellow fruit, subtle floral notes and natural freshness. It is ideally suited to a style that combines richness and elegance. The winemakers at Sartori di Verona pay close attention to harvesting at the ideal point of ripeness in order to achieve the right balance of sugar, acidity and aroma. After harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they undergo careful sorting so that only perfect fruit is processed. The berries are gently crushed, allowing juice and skins to interact extensively yet delicately. In this way, the aromatic potential of Garganega is gently released even before fermentation. Fermentation itself takes place predominantly in stainless steel tanks. Controlled temperatures protect the delicate fruit and floral notes and preserve the precise acidity structure. Part of the wine then matures in large oak casks, the classic “Halbstück” with around 600 liters of volume. There the wine develops additional depth, fine vanilla and toast notes, and an even creamier texture. The wine remains in oak for about three months, partly on the fine lees. The lees contribute to fullness and a soft impression on the palate. Bâtonnage, the occasional stirring of the lees, enhances this effect and lends the wine a gentle creaminess. The portion from stainless steel tanks simultaneously ensures clarity, freshness and crystal-clear fruit. Before bottling, the different lots are combined into a harmonious, seamless cuvée.
