Caramelized pineapple, hazelnut and citrus caress the nose. This Chardonnay from South Africa is complex on the palate, impressing with hints of marmalade, ripe tropical fruit and lemon pie. These flavors are underpinned by vanilla and creaminess. This perfectly balanced white wine transitions to an almost endless finish and has aging potential of up to 5 years from now. Vinification for the Isabella Chardonnay from Muratie Estate The grapes for this single varietal Chardonnay were hand picked in the Stellenbosch region. After harvest, they were pressed and subjected to natural fermentation in 500 liter barrels. This was followed by malolactic fermentation and the wine was aged in wood for 10 months. Before bottling, the wine was stabilized.
