Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr - Wagner-Stempel
Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr - Wagner-StempelIn the glass, the organically produced Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr from Wagner-Stempel’s hand shows a bright light yellow color. After the first swirl, one can perceive perfect balance in this white wine, as it neither appears watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. The initial nose of the Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr flatters with nuances of nectarines, apricots and vineyard peaches. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by oak-aging notes such as sun-warmed rock, green bell pepper and juniper. This dry white wine from Wagner-Stempel is just right for people who prefer to drink bone-dry. The Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr comes very close to this, as it was vinified with only 2.3 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine presents itself as wonderfully silky. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr appears impressively fresh and vibrant on the palate. The finish of this white wine from the Rheinhessen wine-growing region, more precisely from Siefersheim, ultimately convinces with considerable length. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the sand- and loam-dominated soils. Vinification of the Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr by Wagner-Stempel This balanced white wine from Germany is organically vinified from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into soils of loam, sand and silicate rock. The Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr is an Old World wine through and through, as this German wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. When perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of rough and non-selective machinery. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for several months in 1200 L Stückfass made of oak. Food recommendation for the Siefersheim Riesling Porphyr by Wagner-Stempel This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfectly suited as an accompaniment to potato skillet with salmon, chickpea curry or pumpkin casserole.| Cena |
