Vinification of Picchioni Andrea Rosso D’Asia This powerful red wine from Italy is vinified from the Croatina grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lombardy. Here the vines drive their roots deep into soils of sand and gravel. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 12 months of aging in oak barriques.
