The Pravis Pinot Nero Madruzzo impresses with its elegantly dry taste profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian, despite all its dryness, delights with a most delicate balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Balanced and complex, this silky and meaty red wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful length. Again, hints of raspberry and sour cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone-dominated soils are added. Vinification of Pravis Pinot Nero Madruzzo This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Pinot Noir. Only flawless grape material was used for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Pravis. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into limestone soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden casks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in 900 l oak tonneaux. Food pairing for Pravis Pinot Nero Madruzzo This Italian is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfectly suited as an accompanying wine to duck breast with sugar snap peas, braised chicken in red wine, or fried calves’ liver with apples, onions, and balsamic sauce.
