This red wine is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenère. This wine shimmers a deep ruby red with purple highlights in the glass. The expressive bouquet of this Chilean red wine smells intensely of prune, ripe dark cherries and raspberries. On the palate, the fruit flavors are accompanied by lovely toasted notes. Nuances of chocolate and cinnamon complement the opulent fruit bouquet. Fleshy tannins are integrated into the full body, giving this cuvée power and remarkable complexity. The finish of this anniversary red wine is accompanied by a wonderfully long finish. Vinification of the Viña Los Vascos Le Dix The Grande Vin Le Dix was selected for the first time on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the commitment of the Barons de Rothschild family (Lafite) in Chile. Only Cabernet Sauvignon grapes of exceptional quality from vines of the Los Frailes single vineyard, older than 70 years, are used for this wine. The selective harvest in several passes allowed the grapes to be harvested in perfect ripe condition. Fermentation is slow and gentle in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 18 months in new barriques. The Le Dix de Los Vascos is produced in very limited quantities. In poor vintages, it is not produced at all.
