Michelle Syrah The basis for the balanced Syrah from Washington are grapes from the Syrah and Viognier varieties. In Washington, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand, clay and volcanic rock. After the grapes are harvested, they are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures.
