Testone Merlot - Parusso Armando

Testone (in English: thickhead) has actually already become a cult wine. Marco uses fully ripe grapes from a top location near Monforte for this pure Merlot. The grapes are mashed without destemming, i.e. with the stems. After a standing time of around three weeks, the grapes are pressed and the young wine is aged for around 18 months in new barriques. An exciting interpretation of an international grape variety with a clear Piedmontese character and a real rarity! Color: dark cherry red. Aroma: intense of sweet cherries. Taste: full and juicy, fine acidity, lots of fruit, great structure.
