In the vineyards in the Pfeddersheim district, where the Romans already liked to grow wine, the vines are rooted in heavy, clayey loess soil that retains water well. The Weißburgunder local wine is a rather loud type with aromas of preserved pome fruit and herbs and wood spices. Its body is firm with power and a little melting.
