Passopisciaro Contrada S Terre Siciliane IGT Nerello Mascalese 0,75 ℓ

The Contrada S red wine is produced by Passopisciaro, a Sicilian winery created in 2000 by Andrea Franchetti with the project of producing wines from the districts of Etna, in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia. The wine is produced from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes from the Contrada Sciaranuova, which are vinified in thermoregulated steel tanks. The wine thus obtained then ages for 18 months in large wooden barrels. Ruby red in colour, aromas of raspberries, cherries in alcohol, licorice and spices prevail on the nose. The sip reveals an excellent structure, an expressive body and well integrated tannins. Ideal in combination with tagliatelle with meat sauce, red meat and game both stewed and roasted.
