Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG - RuggeriCartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG - RuggeriThe Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore from the wine-growing region of Veneto appears in the glass with a brilliantly shimmering platinum yellow. The mousse of this sparkling wine shines in the glass wonderfully long-lasting and fine. When given a little air by swirling, this sparkling wine is characterized by an immense lightness that lets it dance lively in the glass. On the nose, this Ruggeri sparkling wine presents all kinds of quince, apples, pears, gooseberries and nashi pear. The Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore from Ruggeri is just right for all connoisseurs who like as little residual sugar in their wine as possible. At the same time, it never appears meager or austere, as one might naturally expect from such a wine. On the palate, the Ruggeri Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore reveals an incredibly fruity flavor, which is of course due to its off-dry profile. Light-footed and multi-layered, this dense sparkling wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its moderate acidity, the Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore caresses the palate with a velvety mouthfeel, without sacrificing freshness. The finish of this Prosecco Spumante from the wine-growing region of Veneto, more precisely from Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG, finally impresses with a remarkable length. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils. Vinification of Ruggeri Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Glera. Only the best grape material was used for this wonderfully elegant varietal wine from Ruggeri. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay, sand and limestone. The Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. The ripeness of the harvest for this Glera wine is significantly influenced by the climate of the growing region. In Veneto, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a comparatively high must weight. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines. After the assemblage of the Prosecco Spumante, further maturation takes place using the Charmat method. The Ruggeri Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore then matures in the bottle for several months and is finally disgorged. Food recommendation for Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore from Ruggeri This Italian is best enjoyed well chilled at 5 - 7°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to blackberry cream dessert, spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce or elderflower yogurt ice cream with lemon balm.
