The Akashi 5 Years Old by White Oak Distillery is a rare piece, for connoisseurs, distilled with stills in operation only one month per year. This single malt whiskey ages for 3 years in American hogshead ex-Sherry cask and for another 2 years in Spanish ex-Sherry cask. Light amber in color, it offers the nose an elegant and floral bouquet, with notes of caramel, honey and vanilla. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, with hints of malt, apple, smoke and light peat. To allow this whiskey to express itself at its best, it is ideal to savor it pure or diluted with a few drops of water.
