The Tagaro winery is located in the Valle d'Itria at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. The prevailing climate here is ideal for viticulture. The dry heat during the day and the cool breezes at night provide optimal conditions for producing exceptional, full-bodied red wines. On the landward side of Locorotondo, the Lorusso family has been running the Tagaro winery for three generations and is deeply rooted in the people and the landscape. Their great passion lies in producing wine according to time-honored traditions. This strong connection to tradition, combined with a modern family business, is the secret to the Tagaro winery's success. The Terrapieno vineyards possess a unique characteristic within the Valle d'Itria. The topsoil consists of the typical fertile red earth of Apulia, while the bottom layer is composed of cold limestone. This combination gives the vines strength and freshness and keeps the root temperature perfectly balanced with the already special microclimate of the Valle d'Itria. Color: Ruby red. Aroma: Intense on the nose with notes of jam and spices. Taste: Full-bodied, long-lasting with fine, well-balanced tannins.
