Finca El Otero Tempranillo DO - ÁsterThe Finca El Otero from Áster is an outstanding, aromatic and balanced red wine from the Spanish wine region DO Ribera del Duero in Castile - León, vinified exclusively from the Tempranillo grape variety. In the glass, this wine has a dark cherry red color with intense garnet highlights. The nose reveals an expressive bouquet. Starting with dark berry fruits (blackberry, black currant), through mineral and spicy notes, to hints of buns, coffee beans, toffee, mocha and black licorice. On the palate, this Spanish red wine has an exceptional structure, perfectly balanced between acidity and alcohol content. The ripe and very elegant tannins are very well integrated into the powerful body without being obtrusive. The great finish awaits with notes of black licorice, fruit compote and toffee , giving an unforgettable experience. Vinification of the Áster Finca El Otero Only grapes from the Finca El Otero vineyard in Anguix (Burgos) are used for this red wine. Already in the early morning hours the grapes for this red wine are harvested and immediately brought to the wine cellar of Áster. The alcoholic fermentation of this wine is spontaneous and lasts about 15 days. Malolactic fermentation then starts in French oak barrels for 3 months with weekly bâttonage. Only the best French oak barrels are used for aging. In these, the Áster Finca El Otero ages harmoniously for 16 months.
