The Langhe Nebbiolo from the Luigi Pira winery was born on the hills of Serralunga d'Alba, in the hills of the Langhe. The winery was founded in the 1950s by Luigi and Rosa Pira. Today it is run by his sons, who manage 13 hectares of vineyards. The Nebbiolo grapes are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks. The wine is aged for 10 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Intense garnet red in color, it has aromas of red fruits, spices and leather notes. The sip is soft, with sweet tannins and a persistent finish.
