Côtes du Rhône Blanc AOP Cuvée Speciale Tardieu - Maison Tardieu-Laurent

The cool year of 2021, marked by frost and precipitation, was something of a flashback to the classic, almost forgotten vintages of the 1990s. 2022 was incredibly hot, the driest vintage in recent history. This year, too, winemakers with old vineyards like Tardieu-Laurent were able to achieve good to excellent results. But the question remains: How long will this last? A heterogeneous vintage in itself, in which the selection of grapes used in this CUVÉE SPECIALE was all the more important. On the nose, white flowers, a subtle smokiness, pale melons, and apricots. On the palate, orange juice and lime appear on the opening, followed by a creamy mid-palate with a hint of marzipan. The finish offers pleasant bitter notes of anise and sage, with a very finely balanced minerality. An incredibly good entry-level wine!
