Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Poggio di Sotto - ColleMassari
After its long maturation in large wooden casks, this well-balanced vintage is already quite approachable, but its best years are surely still ahead. Tasted blind, this magnificent Brunello once again transports you to Burgundy â and to the very top! The bouquet is impressively diverse and constantly evolving: plenty of ripe red and black cherries, raspberries, and orange peel with a rich spiciness. On the palate, violets, earthy notes, and an intense herbal spice complement the complex overall impression. Yet nothing about this complexity feels heavy; everything remains incredibly delicate and almost playfully vibrant on the tongue. The firm tannins are present in the background but never overpower. In terms of elegance, finesse, and precision, it's a true statement. We call it a classicâĻ| āĻŽā§āϞā§āϝ |
