Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Poggio di Sotto - ColleMassari
A perfect vintage, both in terms of climate and production. Along with 2016, it represents one of the iconic vintages in which Sangiovese in Montalcino expressed its full potential. The vines for this Brunello have an average age of 25 years. The meticulous selection of the grapes is followed by vinification in wooden and cement vats with very long maceration and pump-overs. The wine then matures for 36 months in large 30-hectoliter oak barrels. This process produces exceptionally long-lived red wines with great aging potential. The Burgundian nose is, as always, multifaceted and complex, offering a wide spectrum of fruity and balsamic notes. Dark, slightly smoky aromas dominate, including black cherry, ripe plums, Darjeeling, and much more. On the palate, it impresses with a well-balanced tannin structure, minerality, and an incredible finesse and elegance unparalleled in Brunello. Sangiovese at its finest and a true Italian wine monument! Limited quantities. Delivered in a 6-bottle wooden case.| āĻŽā§āϞā§āϝ |
