Rosso di Montalcino DOC Poggio di Sotto - ColleMassari
In the glass, a bright ruby red with very slight garnet reflections. A truly beautiful nose. Initially, plenty of floral notes and red fruit, violets and ripe raspberries. The longer you inhale, the darker the aromas become: black cherries, dark marzipan, sage, and tar. On the palate, truly Burgundian finesse. Orange zest, dark cherries, sage, raspberry candy. Soft tannins of the highest quality and a very fine underlying chalky minerality that doesn't push itself forward, but rather allows the charming, approachable fruit of the Rosso to shine. Even though Poggio di Sotto's Rosso is always a more refined Brunello, the 2020 vintage perfectly combines the elegance and complexity of a Brunello with the fruitiness and drinkability of a very good Rosso. A Rosso di Montalcino simply can't get much better.| āĻŽā§āϞā§āϝ |
