Amarone Riserva Fossa Granara is produced by the Castelnuovo del Garda winery or Cantina Sociale Veronese del Garda and belongs to the Ca' Vegar line. It consists of the classic Amarone grapes, namely Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara, which are harvested and selected and then dried for 3 months in the loft. Vinification takes place in thermo-controlled steel tanks for 25 days. The wine then ages for 12 months in 50hl barrels. Intense ruby red in color with garnet hues, it reveals aromas of fruits in alcohol, spices, black pepper, bitter cocoa and balsamic notes on the nose. The sip is warm and powerful, with a long balsamic finish. The wine goes perfectly with game dishes, roasts and first courses with savory sauces.
