Port Askaig Cask Strength Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0,7 ℓ

The Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Cask Strength by Port Askaig is the result of a selection of peated whiskeys produced by the independent bottler Specialy Drinks, from an undeclared distillery on Islay, made with the Pot Still distillation methodology and aged in minimal part in first fill toasted ex-Bourbon barrels and mostly in second fill 250 liter American oak hogshead barrels. It is produced in small batches and bottled at cask strength, hence the wording Cask Strength, without the addition of colorants and without cold filtration in order to preserve its knowledge and its original character. It appears pale golden yellow in colour. The nose opens up with hints of leather and peat smoke enriched by hints of salted caramel and sea shells. The taste is rich and smoky, with notes of lemon and dry spices. Due to its unique and inimitable taste it is preferable to consume it neat.
